What is title case?
Title case is the convention used for headlines, book titles, and section headings: significant words are capitalized, while short “minor” words — articles (a, an, the), short conjunctions (and, but, or), and short prepositions (of, in, to, by) — stay lowercase, unless they are the first or last word of the title.

Which style guide does this follow?
Style guides disagree on the details — AP capitalizes prepositions of four letters or more, Chicago lowercases prepositions regardless of length. This converter follows the common-ground convention: articles, coordinating conjunctions, and short prepositions lowercase, everything else capitalized, first and last words always capitalized. For most headlines, that matches what any editor expects; if you write for a publication with a house style, double-check its specific preposition rules.
